My view and problems with WinCC

jhanus Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Greetings, I usually don't do this, but I simply must. Siemens your software is one of most buggy and misses entirely engineering logic sense. Your WinCC(7.0) made me loose my temper in my early twenties so you can see the problem. In my free time I'm using my collage laboratory to practice and learn as much as I can, but your software Siemens isn't helping, from WinCC to Simoreg(DriveMonitor and others which I even won't mention). Frickin organize your software, and organize a hardware team and a software team and a team which are not best experts, but do and I repeat do understand both worlds. Now I'm going to develop my project with another solution(VB,LabView or MATLAB), because I simply can not tolerate such half product, just look at Microsoft Visual Studio, never, not even once I managed to crash it, but in WinCC it's simply enough to do anything while RT is closing. I am mad, simply mad, I lost so many hours(nerves even more) trying to figure out, what did I do wrong to cause this, when every single time it was WinCC fault.

Yes I can also say that WinCC isn't so friendly and easy to work. This program is made not for beginner ( I don't want to offend you ). For each mistake that is done system gives an error. In the other way WinCC has defects (but in each software has some kinds of defects) and Siemens must work on this way. You must be happy that didn't met with serious problems with others software. This is my opinoin and everyone is free to make a choise how to work and which software to use in his project (application). regardsMerry X-mas

WinCC is a good platform you can customize for your specific application, sometime need a pretty good knoweldge to perform a better solution, and need time too. I could understand you angry about not so user friendly interface or function about using WinCC if you never received the right support from Siemes jhanus Greetings, ... In my experience, Siemens always supported me for new feature ormy own special application when i asked for support. About Siemens orcompetitorsolution is justopinion (each one could have different preference), sometimes final customer will tell you what ssystem he want you use... At the end (not because is not so important), here it's possible find a lot of help and nice ppl experienced to solve trouble and very kindly. sad for your experience, hope you could be more lucky Regards

Meanwhile WinCC has become a very powerfull and stable platform solving forevery kind ofautomation / branch. So it will take some time for beginners to see and understand the implemented tools.
