Dear All,

I am preparing project where is requested to save user name who acknowledged alarm.

Please look at the attached immage where you can see that default alarm acknowledge doesn't save user name and my personal user alarm doesn't work correctly because it doesn't save alarm text and it add comment by itself (ID alarm).

I have following questions:

1. System column "Acknowledge status" is always empty. What is the purpose of this colum and how can i make it works?

2. How to configure correctly personal alarm with user name to see alarm text?

3. Is it possibile to add user name to default alarm acknoweldge?

Hello Floowkid,

the username is part of the comment.
If the message has a comment, you can see the username in the comment.
Or if you wold like to see the username in an usertextblock, you
can add the systemplaceholder @102%s@ to the usertextblock.

I made some test and here is what i have found.

By creating operator input alarms nr.1000 i have new alarm where user name is written in the alarm text and in the user name column. If i add new comment user name is changed in both places. There has to be difference between who acknowledge alarm and who insert the comment. Is it possibile?

New operator input alarm automatically creates comment with alarm number. Is it possibile to disable it?

I solved the problem by setting "Assign comments to defined users" for system alarm classes.

Once inserted comment can't be changed anymore so the user name either.
