Im using PCS7 8.2, WinCC 7.4, SM-S7 5.5.

System is programmed so far with a TCP/IP connection looking for 4 Redundant PLCs (H-Systems).

After identifying that the Connection to the PLCs must be with Named Connection instead of using only a dedicated IP Address, we proceeded to make the modificiations and create the connections in NetPRO. 

Here is the steps done so far:

There are a couple of things to check.

On the OS stations go to Set PG / PC Interface and set S7ONLINE to PC internal.

On the ES, when you compile, in the wizard where you see the connections, you can change the connection away from tcp/ip to named connection.

See if this is enough.

You mean changing the adapter from being physical (CP-XXX) to being controlled by Internal software right? (Attachment)

Apparently that didnt work either. 

Am I missing something? It must be something in the connection configuration because both OSS1 and OSS2 lose communication after changes. WinCC is accepting the changes and I dont need to restart any OSS. However, i cant find that issue.

Do I need to compile and download hardware configuration in NetPRO aside of the "Download to target OS"?

 Any changes that I might be missing in AS systems?

You have CP card.

Yes, in ES, configure the netcad (CP 16xx) and download it to the server(s).

I have attached pictures 01 to 03.

Picture 01, is the Properties of the server PC station. The "Name" is the Windows computernam of the OS server. Make sure there is a checkmark in the "Computer name identical to PC station name".

I assume you have this correct since it worked before.

Picture 02, is the hw config of the server PC station. Here the CP card is inserted and you set the MAC / IP address. You probably also have this since you have netpro connections set up.

Picture 03 shows after you have the above points set up and compiled and the connections in netpro correct, then you right-click the PC station and select "PLC -> Configure".

This will insert the CP card and WinCC Appl in the Station Configuration Editor in the OS server.

After this, you right-click the PC station again and select "PLC -> Download".

This will download the configuration of the CP card and connections to the OS server.

If the settings of Simatic Shell on the ES or OS is not set correct, the download may fail.

About "Picture 01" - The configuration doesnt have the square checkmark but the name indeed is the same.

About "Picture 02" - the MAC ADDR is not set, how do I define MAC ADDR? We are using IP Protocol. How does this affect in Named Connections?

About "Picture 03" - Normally I use NetPRO to configure/download the changes. Does this has the same effect? 

Downloads were done correctly. Configuring ES and Start OS simulation will let me test my Named Configurations before downloading?

About picture 01, we can not do that now since it involves many changes in the system and the process is running and operative (Am i right?). If I check the box it wont be matching the name configured in the project (if I dont have other choice i will do it). However names are the same in the text box defined for that.

About ISO, how do I define the MAC ADDR? By looking phisically to the card / checking IP CONFIG in Command prompt? This changes force me to stop the PLC, right?

I have noticed that if i make a change in the HW config of a PLC it lets me make the changes in RUN but sometimes my process goes to fault and stops the process even for 1 second even if I have H-System (maybe redundancy problem). Is this normal?

I will follow the configuration of the ES in order to test my comms before downloading. Thanks!
