NC Alarm 2000 Cannot Reset!!?

NC_OP Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I have an old EMCO Turn with siemens 810 and the backup battery died yesterday. i have successfully punched in all the parameters again but i cant test it because the PLC Sends 2000 word1 Emergency stop. and when i try to reset it just keeps on generating that alarm and keep counting the number after word. up to 99 then it starts over again. NOTE: It doesent say "word" exactly but i translated it from swedish. It actually says: 2000 ord1 noedstopp.

NC_OP Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	No i dont have the program but i will get it during the day from a EMCO partner here in sweden, my only conserne now is the communication. I have never successfully downloaded to it. I have only been able to send programs and codes from it. Im guessing i have the wrong setting bits for the com port. Because if i use the port on the front(linked to the topport on the back) i can send data FROM it, but when i need to download TO it. i must use the lower port directly from inside the cabinette. And then when i try to download anything it sez: Ram error, Ram full, Ram buffer full or something like that. Doesent it sound like the setting bits are messed up? Or am i using the wrong program? Im using TNC Server to recieve and it works fine, but i cant send. Can i use Hyper Terminal perhaps?

Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (56)	Hi, Sounds like you need to start by going into eyeball mode (startup) and clearing the system down by formatting the memories. Loading the standard machine data and formating the nc memory again. Then reload all of your data and reformat the nc memory once more. Then load the plc and you should be up and running. You will also need a copy of the plc generated error message texts whcih have to be loaded in startup mode.
