NC alarm

tavi Advanced Member Joined: 1/30/2006 Last visit: 1/9/2023 Posts: 50 Rating: (7)	Hello , During tapping operation I get a NC alarm 22200 which said that the drilling axis was stopped during tapping and spindle continues to rotate resulting in tap damage. The alarm said that is appear during tapping with G63 that I do not use in NC program. And also it use a G64 during tapping cycle, and there is no other NC or PLC alarm. Pls advice. The alarm presumes that that the drilling axis (Probably Z) has been stopped by the PLC interface while the spindle is still rotating. It assumes that this was done in a tapping cycle (G63) It is suggested that the PLCprogram be checked to ensure that this scenario is not possible whilst in a tapping cycle. If this is the case,then you should contact the OEM to check the PLC program. Regards SteveJ
