NCM PC Wiazrd

Thibaut B Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, I've a problem with NCM PC Wizard... I'm trying to make my network architecture with NCM PC Wiazrd. I've a CP1616 and a CU320, a smart line module and a double motor module (6SL3130-6AE15-0AB0) with two motors+sensors (6SL3120-2TE13-0AB0). All is linked with DRIVE-CLiQ. In a new project I added the CP1616 in the rack, then I inserted a PNIO system. And now I don't know what to do !! The first problem I met was to find the gsd files related to my stuffs. I imported them from the Compact Flash card and I installed them, but I can't add the CU320... Actually, the file is "gsdml-v2.1-siemens-sinamics-s-cu3x0-20070726.xml" but like it's a 2.1 version, a window tells me that the date will be set to the 2.0 version in order to be readable by the software version I had (NCM-PC 5.4) [by the way, this windows appears in German in spite of the language set to English ;-)] So, I tried to install a CU310 instead of the CU320...and it was possible ! The GSD file for the CU310 is a v2.0... and I could add the CU310 in my architecture, only after having created a subnet. So, the questions are : _ Why did I have to create a subnet ? I'm using a CP1616 with 4 ports... _ How to install the gsd for the CU320 ? _ And what's next to do after ? Can I load this configuration right after that ? obs : I attached two screenshots, one of the architecture in NCM, and another of the architecture in NetPro. Best regards, TB. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, I will try to answer your questions... but I will ask one too. About your questions: _ Why did I have to create a subnet ? I'm using a CP1616 with 4 ports... There is a difference about logical and physical connections. You have 4 physical connections, but they are all connected to one logical network. Therefore you need to add a Subnet that represents your logical network. The Connectors shown represent the diagnostical addresses of the NIC you have, the CP 1616. _ How to install the GSD for the CU320 ? Actually... I have no clue.. because I could not find the GSDXML would you show me where to find it? _ And what's next to do after ? Can I load this configuration right after that ? If you work according to the manual you will have to add an Application to your PC Station. If this is OK and the IP Address and Name of this System is identical to the PC you want to load this too... I think you should be able to load it. Is this PC Station the same PC you have the NCM PC on or is it another PC? Now my question, have you ever read the Manual for configuring PC Stations by SIMATIC NET? Best regards J_Bell

Thibaut B Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello J_Bell, Thanks for your answers... mine are following First, of course I read the manual [mn_ncm-pc_76 (Commissioning PC)] But the manual didn't help me a lot. Cause when I try to realise my topology according to the examples (I mean with a CP1616 instead of the CP1613), I can put the CP1616 only on the first port of the rack, and if I want to add a user application and an OPC server, after I can't add the CP1616 (but I can add the others CPs) Maybe it's due to the CP1616 characteristics, but it doesn't matter cause I don't need an OPC server and I use Profinet only. So I'm with the CP1616 on the first port and the application on the second. That's why I can't work right accordingly to the manual... Moreover I'm used to work with Profibus-DP so I'm a bit lost in Profinet, cause before I used PLCs with I/O whereas today I just need a CU and a motor module. There nothing to program here... Sure I also gave the same IP address to the modules in NCM than the ones I configured. Is this PC Station the same PC you have the NCM PC on or is it another PC ? No, the NCM PC runs under Windows and the PC Station runs under a Linux PC. About the gsdxml of the CU320, it is located on the Compact Flash under the directory : /SIEMENS/SINAMICS/DATA/CFG/ inside the zip file. _____________________________________________________________ If it can help anyone, I can add that I'm using NCM PC v5.4.0.0 and today there is a v5.4.3, so that's why my gsdxml v2.1 should not be accepted... I just talked to a colleague that more into the CP1616, she said that the behaviour about the Configuration in HW Config is different to the "standard" Configurations for SIMATIC NET products but it is the way you noticed. She said that the requirement of the Application is automatically there and doesn't have to be set additionally... anyway. Sadly I do not have any access to this GSDXML you have, may you send or post this to the Forum, that way we may be able to check the GSDXML File with the latest STEP 7 Version. Best regards J_Bell

Thibaut B Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	I can confirm, the problem was because of a too old version of Sinamic NCM. Now, I'm with the v.5.4.3 and my GSDXML is recognised I loaded the configuration (just the topology in true) into the CP1616, it remains to make the code running... Thanks for the help J_Bell.
