Need a help to control an analog output

I have a CPU 1214 C DC/DC/DC, an analog input (for a flow meter) and an analog output (to regulate a Samson Valve for the air). The task is like this: When the level of the flow meter decreases from the given value, the analog valve opens respectively by percent. Or vice versa, when the level of the flow meter raises from the setpoint, the valve closes as well. Could you help me how to do it, please? Thanks in advance.

I mean that if there are any other special things to do when using it or is it enough just putting the value to the PID Compact controller?
