Evening Guys, On the Topic of Moving Data, i looked over this content, however when straight db content works, what if in my case the db content is of type udt and the exposed "Names" are used in Code.. using Type Variant i loose exposure to the data? The Core issue and reason for this post is to find the proper way to reference gStation100 as an Object in another FB and not create another instance therefore using additional memory (Memory Screen shot included). Thanks for any and all direction around defining pointers to memory addresses and implementing the references to the pointers. Portal v14 sp3 Processor 1515T or 1517T If i understand the reference material i should be able to use Pointer to type of (udt) to represent data without making an additional copy Correct? 1. UDT - >Station 2. DB with gStation100 of UDT Station 3. Use gStation100 as pStation (Old Direct Copy works if Datatype = Station, else see screen captures below. Example Screen Shots: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
