Hello Fidye; Sorry there was a delay in replying, I was not as available as usual in the past few days. The attachment below indicates that to be part of an ET 200S station and act as a Profisafe (FailSafe over Profinet or Profibus-DP) module, you need an IM 151-3HF head module for Profinet, https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/19699080 But you must have also a Failsafe CPU which will control the F-IO over Profinet; in Siemens' world that could be for example a CPU 315F-2PN/DP, or a S7-1515F..-2PN, with the correct version of Failsafe engineering software for each family of CPUs : S7-Distributed Safety for S7-300F PLCs, S7 Advanced Safety for S7-1500F PLCs. Now you are talking of using a 3rd-party PLC system to control these F-IO modules. It musty be a functional Profinet IO Controller, and Safety-enabled to allow ProfiSafe communications. Have you selected already the type and model of your IO controller CPU, and does it conform to these requirements? Give us some information on your "master" CPU, some of us might be able to help you find out if it conforms to the Safety configurations required. If not, i can suggest you try a Support request (the link is found at the top of this page) so you can ask directly a Siemens tech who could have better information. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
