Need Help for Hart

Hannibal Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello, I´m in my training period for my diploma and I have a problem with Hart. My tutor wants to me to communicate Micropilot M from Endress+Hauser with S7-300. I have : 315-2dp,ET200 M, 331-7tb00-0ab0. I don´t know how to connect the Micropilot to the 331-7tb00-0ab0 card ( slot 3 and 4? http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1096709 ). And after I don´t know how to communicate with... Do I need PDM or not? Because I don´t have it. Could someboby help me please? Hannibal.

And after I don´t know how to communicate with... Do I need PDM or not? Because I don´t have it. Hi Hannibal, You need to place the HART-card in a ET 200M Station with a IM 153-2. If the Instrument is parametrized you don't need PDM, when not then you can get a demoversion to see what you can do, if that helps, you can buy the lowest amount of tags to program the equipment. PDM is to configure the equipment and testing it, after that you do not need PDM for the actual value. When the equipment is programmed then you can read out the analog value in the first word, the HART-value in the next 4 byte, then the status. See the handbook with the description of the 16 byte inputs of this card for the two channels. S7-300, ET 200M Automation Systems I/O Modules with Intrinsically-Safe Signals

There is a shem in the documentation Chap 4.7 p.4-19 Dear Hannibal, I think because it is a Namur Analog Hartcard that there is no power (intrinsic safe). You might only measure current. On page 4-21 is the next information: Voltage supply for 2-wire transducer • short-circuit proof yes (approx. 30 mA) Because this AI is an Exi card there will be never 24V somewhere to the field (all current).

Because if I make a current loop I have any tension between the 3 and 4 slot, it´s for why my device is not supplyed. There is a special config in the HW config? Do I need to program something before? Dear Late, Do you have no idea? Best regards.
