Need Help : Simatic NET 07/2001 SP1 on Windows XP SP2

djacx Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	[:cry:] as newbie, please help me. Due to our Windows NT down, and I must install WinCC 5.0 on Windows XP SP2. But no good, since I can't install Simatic NET 07/2001 SP1 on my Windows XP SP2. What your suggestion, so my WinCC 5.0 and CP1613 can work as before? If it's not possible to use Simatic 07/2001 on WIndows XP SP2, Is there any download for newer SIMATIC NET that works for it? I've searched over Siemens web site, but only found >500MB file to be downloaded, need smaller size (i.e. SIMATIC 2002 only for 80 MB) cry for help. thx in adv Djacx

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, there is no Download for SIMATIC NET Software, it has to be purchased. SIMATIC NET Software runs with XP SP2 from Version 6.3 (Edition 2005). The latest Version Edition 2006 does not support your licenses anymore, so be careful. Best regards J_Bell

Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 12/23/2024 Posts: 2705 Rating: (320)	Hi Djacx, When updating from WinCC V5.0 --> WinCC V6.0 SP4 you have to solve also the problem from the database... The older WinCC is working with another database from Sybase, the new one is working with SQL from Microsoft.
