Hello, i am very very stuck. Im trying at add a QR Scanner threw a cp340. I then want to compare the data from another scanner but i cant seem to get any codes at all from the QR scanner and would like someone with more knowledge to help me if possible. I have uploaded the very bare bones project with the codes i have done. I dont know if i have set up the CP340 in parameters correctly either. When i go online and fire the code i only get back 16#0000020 Any help will be very much appreciated. AttachmentHelp_W_2.zip (182 Downloads) |

Hello Robinson; Which protocol are you trying to setup between the Cp 340 and the SR-1000? The CP 340 supports serial communications over RS-232 or RS 422/485. Whereas it would appear that the SR-1000 supports Profinet, which is an Ethernet-based industrial protocol, See the attached screenshot, from this keyence support site: https://www.keyence.com/support/user/barcode/download/connections.jsp The table does not show a possible RS-232 link (for which you could have used a CP 340) for the SR-1000. Does your S7-300 CPU designation end in -2PN/DP, for example a CPU 315-2PN/DP? Then you are in luck, your CPU has an integrated Profinet port and you can connect the SR-1000 to the CPU's Ethernet port with either a direct cable or through a switch, and you can download the sample program and documentation from the site link above. If not, you must setup as CP 343-1 as a Profinet I/O Controller, and then use the sample program provided by Keyence. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
