Need some help for COROS OS-B41 Station

anhtuan_ntc Posts: 54 Rating: (0)	Hi all, Now I have some problem with IPC need your help: I have IPC SIEMENS station very old control S5 Controller in factory, it is SICOMP IPC RI30 P/N: 6AV6145-1LM, CPU 486Dx2/66MHz, 32MB RAM, 1.2GB HDD, Higraph Card graphic, software and OS: COROS LS-B V4.11 Siemens Decoder Type 1.03, OS : WinNT 3.11. Now It demaged, pls help me know how can I replace old station by new station or new IPC, what things I need to do? I don't know how to select which IPC can replace for it without changing any in S5 Controller system in factory. Thanks in advance. TuanNA.

B_Stienen Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello TuanNA, We also have some old Coros LS-B stationsin our plant. What i know is these highgraph cards are verry sensitive to higher bus frequencies. This means that we never got them to work on a system with a Pentium1 higher than 100 Mhz. So your best bet would be some ancient hardware. Another option might be to upgrade the system to WinCC. You can use current hardware and software. Also I believe that the S5 interface for WinnCC is free of charge today. Hope this helps you a bit. Kind regards, Bart

I also see the detail of technical and understand that there are only two way to solve: 1- replave by spare devices (all is old and reinstallation software), 2-immigrate to WinCC. I think the 2nd is better and hope we can do that for my customer. Thank you. TuanNA
