Hello. I have some situation. In my equipment I have some process: I need to increase temperature from 10 degrees to 130 degrees during 08 hours. After then I must hold this temperature during 08 hours. And after then I must increase temperature to 170 degrees during 10 hours. Can I use ramp function for this or no? Thanks for answer! What is the way I can use for solution this task? Best regards. P.S. I have PLC system S7-1200, software Tia v13. Can I use this hardware and software for solution this task? Thanks for answer! Best regards, Electronshik. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello, please have a look at the LGF (library of genral functions). There is at chapter 3.8 a function LimRateOfChange.. Here the link to the LGF Library of general functions (LGF) for SIMATIC STEP 7 (TIA Portal) and SIMATIC S7-1200 / S7-1500 regards |

Hello. Thank you for your answer. Can I use it in TIA v13? Now, I think that I need to upgrade my software to TIA v14 or later for using this function. Is it right? Can I migrate my project from TIA v13 to TIA v15.1 directly? Without installing TIA v14? Thank you! Best regards, Electronshik. |

Well I would do combination of the ramp function and PID. PID would do what it always do, regulating temperature to get its reference. Ramp function would give reference to the PID according your requirements (10 degrees to 130 degrees during 08 hours and 170 degrees during 10 hours), so I would increase reference to PID according demands. |
