Need Urgent Help on RK512/3964R comm between S7 CP341 and S5 CP524 using CPU 943B(CPU115)

KayBee Posts: 241 Rating: (7)	Hi, I need very urgent help,I have tocommunicate between S7 CP341 using cpu315-2dp and S5 CP524 using CPU115-CPU943B.I need to Communicate via RK512 3964R protocol.Can any body help me what are the S5 Blocks are required to program..Program of S7 PLC side I can do, but as I am not expert on S5 ..so I need help on this S5 side to communicate with S7 Cp341 Via RS 422. Please help me.... Thanks, Apel

ramiv Posts: 55 Rating: (1)	I think you need additional software, COM525 to be able to parameterize the CP524. With this software package you get the 'standard function blocks' for RK512.

KayBee Posts: 241 Rating: (7)	Hi, Thanks Ramiv, I arranged the software.and Write the EPROM as per RK512 protocol as 9600 baud, 1 stop bit, 8 data bit, Even parity and Low priority.I found the blocks also.But I am confuded with Block parameters. I read S7 manual, I undarstand that I need to give send/receive command, DB no, Base address, Length..but can any body give me the description of these parametes of S5 side.. please...help

ramiv Posts: 55 Rating: (1)	You need these FB-s for 115U, but i am not sure about the numbers for 943B: FB249 "SYNCHRON" FB244 "SEND" FB245 "RECEIVE" For CPU928 they are: FB125 SYNCHRON FB120 SEND FB121 RECEIVE FB126 SEND-A FB127 RECV-A SYNCHRON has to be run at OB20,21,22 during startup. Parameters: SSNR: interface point numbers, you must use same number that you entered with COM525 for the CP. BLGR: communication block size. PAFE: error byte, MUST BE from flags-area, not DB!. So, call like this: :SPA FB249 NAME:SYNCHRON SSNR: KY 0,0 (last zero is the ssnr in this case) BLGR: KY 0,2 (block size 32 bytes) PAFE: MB10 (error byte MB10) SEND and RECEIVE are more complex, more parameters: SSNR: same interface point number as above A-NR: job number for send job, entered at COM525 ANZW: status word for this job, USES TWO WORDS; this is the 1.st words adress QTYP: data source (for example "KC DB") DBNR: DB-number QANF: start point (DW) QLAE: lenght PAFE: error byte For certain CPU-s you can use the CP as 'passive', then you use the SEND-A and RECV-A, and you do not need to parameterize the jobs etc.
