.NET controls and VBScript

bhohler Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Is there any way to modify the properties of .NET controls or call their methods using VBScript? I'm trying to read the contents of a text file into a RichTextBox control but I can't modify any of its properties or call any of its methods at runtime. Here's what I've got: [code]Dim screenItems, textBox Dim fso, textFile Set screenItems = HmiRuntime.Screens("Demo_Screen").ScreenItems Set textBox = screenItems.Item("RichTextBox_1") Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") Set textFile = fso.OpenTextFile("C:\Users\bhohler\Downloads\test.txt") textBox.Text = textFile.ReadAll ' This doesn't work because I can't access the Text property textFile.Close[/code] I'm using TIA Portal v13.

The main problem is not related how to integrate .net and vbscript but how to call a method/property of a .net control placed into a hmi screen from a vbscript. In case you try to set the text of a Richtext Control with WinCC Advanced you'll get a VBScript runtime error (see attachment). So it's not possible to use this property in a VBScript. But setting the value of the Top or Left property is working fine. So the question is: Is this a bug or not? May be a hint for .NetControl is: if it's possible to connect a HMITag to a property of a .NetControl this property can also be used in a VB Script. In case of a RichTextBox it's possible to connect (in WinCC Advanced) a HMITag to e.g. the properties "Left", "Top", "Height", "Width" but it's not possible for the property "Text".
