Let's talk about Step7 V5.5 The problem happens when I open the hardware configuration (Net Pro). For new proiect when I open NetPro then crashes. On older project behaves the same, but for a few moments appear draw of participating stations,.....then crashes! is Lock and and must terminate. All other tools work, but Step 7 NetPro not. Editor Awl-Kop, teleservice, PLCSIM, graph, scl etc..are OK. (NetPro= Ko) Let me make one comment: it seems to me that there is some object that refers to a library that is not compatible, assumptions OCX or DLL in system 32. The ideal would be to hear the developer. Already tried what the article (189025) said, and I also tried to remove the framework. . You know any log to see? But my package ( Step7 V5.5 Professional) works well and fine. NetPro just does not work. I know that NetProis not necessary, but if I must insert into my projetc a external stationfor use function get and put..... I need. I still think that some dll or ocx in "Window / system" are not properly recorded or referenced. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe not. thanks

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (411)	Hello, well, you are right... but you will certainly agree with me that a complex Software system like STEP7 also depends on its components. So PLCSIM or SCL is integrated in STEP7 and is part of the system. If you run such a part of Software not compatible with STEP7 V 5.5 with STEP 7 V 5.5 you will never know the reaction of the System. As I do not know your mentioned behavior with a standard STEP 7 V5.5 installation... I expect a problem of incompatibility with any other Software installed with STEP 7. Best regards J_Bell

Windows event log shows nothing! Sorry, I forgot one important thing ... before it was installed the same package V5.4 SP5 and before NetPro worked. Thanks again

However, what we share in this common failure is.... Vm ware ..... and a new package installation simatic!. Try to stop the service Vm ware ... even if I did. bye p.s. Now, VMware is not installed on my pc
