[quote user="shanemax"]I am new to the PLCs, i am really looking forward to learn control networks, archtiture and integration. Please let me know good refrences for the same , now i would like to know how to calculate the network loading. Also is there any good reference for different types redundant fiber optic network architecture. Hi, With the next service pack of STEP7 there will be Topology for Profinet, there you can do some calculating from STEP7. It is also easy to see for Profibus networks which timing is used when you look at the propertys of the Profibus network. Redundancy is standard with the Scalance family, which information do you want about that? You can search for the X400 Scalance switches and the X200 switches to find information about rings and also standby networks (double ring that is switched by a standby link). SIMATIC NET Industrial Ethernet Switches SCALANCE X-400 Operating Instructions SIMATIC NET Industrial Ethernet Switches SCALANCE X-400 Configuration Manual Industrial Ethernet SCALANCE X-100 and SCALANCE X-200 Product Line For the X200 Scalance X-switches the IRT types have special functions with redundancy Redundancy Manager, standby link. |
I hope that the answer will help, if you have still questions, don't hesitate to ask me. |
