Network templates into libraries

OutOfControl Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	I am tryingto save some networks as templates. I need to know more about the libraries that they save to. Where abouts in Simatic manager are they?

Silver Member Joined: 8/10/2006 Last visit: 8/13/2024 Posts: 298 Rating: (29)	And that library Aret suggested you create contains folders for Sources, Blocks and Charts (if you have CFC/S7 Chart). To place your network templates into the library (assuming it's programmed as a block like FB500, etc) Copy the block from your project and paste it into the library blocks folder. Your libray can also contain Symbols, and I'm not sure if this is automatically done for you, so be sure to copy the symbols relevant to your templates into the symbol table in your typicals library. It will then show up when you program in the "Program Elements" directory when you are editing under the Libraries heading. If your project is a multiproject, you can link the library to your project. I find this is often easiest since the point of the template is to copy the block template, paste it into your blocks folder, and then edit it to conform to your specific project needs. HTH, Jim
