We have analog simodrive 611 system on the machine and the the 2-axis control card defected (6SN1118-0AE11-0AA1) so, we purchased a new card and istalled it instead of defective card but the new card didnot operates on machine . Then we compared between two cards and found that they have the same siemens part number (6SN1118-0AE11-0AA1) but the version of each one is different . Old defective card version B whereas new card is version D . What is the difference between two cards ? Is this difference what couse the new card not operates on machine? What we can do to solve this problem? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello, Your is a 611 A - analog drive control card, as such you cannot simply replace it. You need to tune /adjust setting so that the card can work. Please refer below details manual for more information SIMODRIVE 611 analog, Transistor PWM Inverters for AC Feed Drives and AC Main Spindle Drives SIMODRIVE 611 analog, Start–up Software for Main Spindle and Induction Motor Modules Version 3.20 |

the version B or D is 100% no different, for 611A. if you don't want to read the manual You need simply set the "Dip switches" on the new card --S2 for Axis 1 and S2 for Axis 2 compare with the old card. that will match your control card with your servo motor Please share the result Thanks
