New Firmware for CPU 315-2PN/DP

Thinker ! Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	I'm being told that a new formware has come in market forCPU 315-2PN/DP having 512KB working memory. Currently, we are using6ES7 315-2EH13-0AB0in our engineering phase, this model has 256 Kbyte working memory and we're seriously worried about the memeory issue? Any information about the new formware ?

Firmware update doesn't increase work memory of CPU and if you have problems with 256KB, I'm afraid that you might need to go for bigger CPUs. However,I think 256KB is quite enough for such CPU. Why do you think you may need more capacity? Best regards. H-H

I have a CPU315F-2PN/DP marked version 2.5.1 In the hardware configuration catalog I can only choose between versions 2.3, 2.5 or 2.6. If I choose 2.5 and download I do get a warning saying there´s a mismatch in cpu versions (2.5.1/2.5). After the download the cpu will notwork (do not remember the name of the fault) How do I find the correct hw update to install in the hardwareconfiguration for firmware 2.5.1? /Olof

The setting 2.5 is OK for 2.5.0 - 2.5.n Please do a new download an have a look to the warning exactly. May be you use a different MLFB?
