New Safety Matrix V6.2 Project: Viewer opens with a blank Safety Matrix Faceplate

Safety Matrix V6.2 ProblemYou have configured a Safety Matrix and auto-generated block icons on the graphics in the hierarchy and you are in runtime and click on an individual cause or effect alarm icon it will open a matrix with the correct information. But, if you click on the Matrix icon on the graphic, a blank matrix will open. Solution In a new PCS 7 project with Safety Matrix (SM) version 6.2, the OS project needs to have the Safety Matrix picture objects updated in the OS Project Editor before the icon will work properly. Refer to the “Industrial Software Safety Matrix Configuration Manual,” Section 2.4, “Introducing the new Safety Matrix icon into the PCS 7 OS” (page 28). The steps under “Converting pictures” need to be changed as follows: 1. Launch WinCC Explorer for the OS contained in the Safety Matrix project. 2.1. Open the OS Project Editor and select the “Basic Data” tab. 2.2. In the lower left window, select the following pictures to “accept picture modules from libraries.” – @PG_F_MATCTL* – @PG_F_MA_AL* – @PG_F_SC_AL* – @PG_F_SE_AL* – @PCS7Typicals_S7FSMTX.PDL 2.3. Select OK to run the OS Project Editor 3. Right-click the "Graphics Designer" entry in WinCC Explorer. 4. Select "Convert pictures" in the context menu. All pictures are converted. After these changes, a full OS compile and download will be needed done. |
