Hello sneazzy; In Siemens automation products, Step 5 is the programming software for CPUs of the S5 family, which preceded the S7 family currently produced and in use. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simatic_S5_PLC Here is the programming manual for step 5 v7.2, the latest version produced, running under Win XP: Older versions are compatible with DOS. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/tw/en/view/9830806

STEP 5 is a very old, DOS-based programming language for S5-PLCs. It's The "STEP 7" for S5 PLCs. |
