No access device in auto detect mode

masterec Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi im using TIA Portal Basic v13 Trial and a W7 Home Premium SP1 laptop and I have this problem: I've already programmed a s7 1212c plc in a different laptop and I had no problems to do it, the problem comes when I change to a Dell laptop. For test purposes Im just auto detecting the PLC but in pg-pc interface only shows Teleservice. When I go to only access in project tree happens the same, neither the ethernet and wireless card are shown, only shows s7usb, plcsim v5.x (PN.IE) and Teleservice. Using the s7-1200 tool the plc is detected and I can flashing leds, run/stop cpu and Im able to change IP address. I've checked almost every similar thread in this forum and also in other forums but I cant solve the problem. I attach some screenshots about configurations I have hoping someone can help me with this problem that is driving me crazy. Apologize for the bad english. The online Access for TIA is listed in the projecttree under "Online Access". Is here any of you Ethernet interface listed? Regards Christoph

If you already have update 5 installed, great. If not, installing it will not hurt. I notice your default system language was not German or English. When I see that and people have strange problems, I might suggest changing the portal default language to one of those (German or English) - whichever is closest to one they understand, and see if after changing the language if things magically work. Once resolved, please issue a Support Requestto alert Siemens HQ to the bug so they can fix it in future updates. Please post your results. Oh yes, did you install using "right-click, run as Administrator" when you installed portal? If not, you may need to uninstall and re-install.

I suggest you get the project done with whatever PC hardware that works. Then when you are done with the schedule tight job.. come back to us and we will help as much as we can to resolve your issue. I have a feeling you have an issue with the setup of the ethernet port on your Dell computer - so probably there is a solution. BUT focus your energies on getting the project done first. Okay? w
