Good Morning, 

I have a hand scanner connected via RS232 to a wago unit, this is connected via profibus on the PLC. There is no error in the HW config but I do not seem to be getting any sort of 'real time' data in my DB? 

I have attached an image to this. 

I don't understand why I can't see anything atall?

The DB you show is part of your S7 PLC program.

But the data you transfer over Profibus from the Wago Profibus scanner is exchanged using I/O addresses attributed by the HWConfig Profibus configurator and transferred by functions SFC15 and SFC 14 (to ensure consistency of the data transmission) . This you can validate from this Wago application note for their Profibus couplers, attached to a S7 PLC:

How are you programming the transfer of the Profibus data to your DB? Are you sure that the data transferred is actually the RS-232 data from the scanner? For example, how did you program SFC15/14 in your S7 program?
