Hello Everybody, I would urgently need help since I can't establish a successful connection from WinCC Prof. (V16) to a pretty old S7 315-2 DP (Firmware V2.6). Here is my actual setup and what I have tried so far: 1: SIMATIC PC Station + IE General + WinCC Prof. V16 2: IE/PN Converter LINK connected to the IE Gen. Interface of my PC station (PING is OK) 3a: "Dummy PLC" S7 315-2 DP + CP 342-5 connect via ProfiBus to the LINK 3b: PLC Proxy S7 315-2 DP + CP 342-5 connect via ProfiBus to the LINK None of them did work, when I start the Runtime of the WinCC Project I always get no connection to the PLC (Checked via WinCC Channel Diagnosis) - here are some of my toughs/issues: 3a: The IE/PN Converter LINK has been successfully downloaded from TIA, the "Dummy PLC" can't be downloaded from TIA since it is not converted to TIA yet (its done via STEP 7) - I could image that this is a issue? 3b: To create the Proxy I can successfully import the old STEP 7 project, I do get all the DB's and can access the tags in TIA configuration. Nevertheless, I can't create a HMI connection between my WinCC and the Proxy PLC since the HMI connection always requires a ProfiBus connection directly on the Proxy - it can't somehow use the CP for access so I can't configure the setup I have at the facility. If I create another proxy with the same PLC type but a newer FW (V3.3) I can create the HMI connection via CP (Routing) but I don't have this newer type of PLC available to test. Do you think the firmware version could be the problem? So in general - has anybody configured such a scenario before or has any additional input for me what I could try to establish a PLC connection? Thanks for any kind of help!
