Hello. In one of the controllers (941), the PG connector is faulty. There is a spare controller (942) with a power supply. The battery is bad, the LED is on. There are I / O modules on the mounting rack (not like in 941). He turned on 942, did the erasing of the memory, took eprom it out of 941, inserted it into 942. Turned it on - the RUN lights up in green, there are no red ones. But there is still no connection with PG. As if he didn’t “see” the eprom with the program. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Or 942 is also faulty. (communication adapter is working). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello nicss, you have the "problem" that you use not a really adapter. You use a cable and no more. The challenge is that you need a serial interface which can TTY (current loop). A "normal" RS232 doesn't work . You need a active RS232 and a adapter from RS232 to TTY. You can use e.g. (german website) IBH USB-S5-Adapter or ACCON-COM-Cablel USB regards |

Hello nicss, S5 cpu (941/942) transfer the Program Two way Possible. 1.Through EPROM transfer the program. 2.Upload Proram from 941 controller and Down load to 942 controller. Required Document attached here.Any Clarification Msg me. AttachmentS5 941 EPROM Program transfers .pdf (300 Downloads) |
