No data exchange between KTP900 and S7-1200

I can transfer the WinCC project to the panel... but I don't have a data exchange between HMI and PLC...I tried to put an I/O field and write a number: I write it on the HMI but the variable connected to the field, in the PLC, does not change... i use TIA 17...maybe there is some problem with the certificates? what am I doing wrong? Thank you Roby

ElonksuM_SN_BN Regular Expert Joined: 5/6/2022 Last visit: 4/22/2025 Posts: 587 Rating: (122)	Hi Roby, In these cases there are a number of questions that can be very helpful to be able to see what may be going wrong: - What is the exact version and reference of the PLC and HMI? - Is it a direct connection or does it go through some intermediate element, such as a router? - Does the date and time set in PLC and HMI match? - Within the PLC properties, is any password protection against HMI access configured? If so, has this password been configured in the "HMI connection" for the panel to access? - In the PLC variables table, are the variables shared with the HMI marked "Accessible from HMI/OPC" and "Writable from HMI/OPC"? I also share with you some FAQs that you can review, in case of certificate issues as you comment for example: "Why is it not possible to establish a connection to a CPU with firmware version 2.9/4.5 from an HMI panel (Basic, Comfort or Unified) or WinCC Runtime Advanced V17 or lower?" "No connection to PLC after WinCC Panel Images V17 Update 6". Best regards!

I'll attach some images: the variable is accessible to the panel in reading/writing...read 1 because there is one left, having copied it from another project but the connected field says 233 HARDWARE: Ping to the panel is OK CPU: 6ES7 215-1AF40-0XB0 HMI: 6AV2 123-2JB03-0AX0 The date does not match because I have the data-plc update part which I cannot update because I cannot communicate with the variables This is the page update date plc: .as regards the certificate, I removed the secure connection: wait response, is possible thank you
