Hi all, I got an IOT2050 with the Image build from Github. Sometimes I do not get any Display-Output. Is there any patch or driver that can fix this? Image was built on 02. Nov 2020 with lxde Output of "uname -a"
Part of the output of "dmesg"
See full output of dmesg in attachment file. Best regards! Edit: There might was a patch regarding a similar problem. https://patchwork.kernel.org/project/dri-devel/patch/20190326103146.24795-22-tomi.valkeinen@ti.com/ Is there a newer patch für this? How old are the applied patches to this version? Solution: I tried building a new Image, which failed beacuse I was using an old kernel (on Ubuntu 16.04). On another System the build was completed successfully. The Upstream-Image didn't boot at all.
With
i build the basic example image and didn't have the experience of the displayoutput failing. Attachmentdmesg_error_noDisplay.txt (661 Downloads) |

Hi, I connected the IOT with a DisplayPort-cable to a monitor with a DisplayPort-connector. I didn't use any adapter. Edit: I have rebooted a few times now. Now I do have display output. See attached the demsg output. The part where the init fails is missing. Attachmentdmesg_DP_output.txt (739 Downloads) |

@jan-k Thanks i will try that. Steps i have tried so far: I tried using the official IOT2050 sd-card image version 2.6.1 https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109741799 After flashing it to a sd-card, but i wouldn't boot. (LED is lit red) Additionaly I saw no root password was set (/etc/shadow) With the Image build from Github: I booted with the DP cable plugged in. dmesg showed the entry of the driver(?) failing. I have xrdp installed and connected to it via vnc: - VNC: The Desktop of DISPLAY .0:0 showed - My Monitor went into standby. With [CTRL]+[ALT]+[F1] i went to TTY1 - VNC: showed a black screen (that was about to be expected) - The Monitor showed TTY1 With [CTRL]+[ALT]+[F7] i went to TTY7 - VNC: The Desktop of DISPLAY .0:0 showed - My Monitor showed the Desktop of DISPLAY .0:0 If I unplug and plug it again in the Monitor shows the desktop again.
