Hi,

I follow the tips anbd tricks to inntall OPC between my simatic host and my S7-1500 PLC

Then, I try to test communication using OPC SCOUT, but then, no S7 connection is available,

only PLC blocks are being displayed under /SYM, nothing under /S7

I can't figure out what I am missing here, anhy help ?

I´m not sure but you are using the OPC DA Client channel (DCOM) in OPC Scout, so a symbolic access to optimized blocks of S71500 is only possible with OPC UA in my opinion.

Yo try to get access over OPC UA (the OPC Server has also a Simatic Net OPC UA Server).
