No text for alarms in another languange??

Hello guys.

I translated my system by translating Project texts and everything works great when I change language on my HMI, except for Alarms there is no text. I checked and there are translated Alarm messages in Project texts. Anybody knows what could be the problem?

No, couldn't find answer to my problem in those documents. All other text is shown when I switch languange, but not Alarms? What am I missing?

on what for a part do you speak, TIA Professional or other ?

Do you have this in the Messagelist (actual Messages) too, or only in the Archivelist ?

And with which language do you have this problem ?

I think, you do not have TIA V13 Professional, but TIA V13 Advanced.

But I am not an expert for Advanced, only for Professional, because it is nearly the same as WinCC Classic V7.3.

Can you please send us a Screenshot  where we can see the situation in whitch the Message Texts are missing.

Usually the problem is located in the language switching.

give us a bit more Information about your System. Do you use a Panel or a Avanced or a Professional runtime?

I had the same problem using S7-1500 with central alarm management in PLC aka controller alarms enabled (PLC properities > General tab > PLC Alarms).

You have assign additional project languages modifying PLC hardware configuration setting (PLC properties > General tab > Multilingual support).

Do not suggest with description of that settings provided by Siemens. It is not whole truth. This settings are for CPU display and Web server BUT ALSO for all devices/applications that subscribe alarms form PLC such as HMI devices.

If your additional language is missing on "Languages of CPU display/Web server" assign it to any other that you don't use. In my case HMI device was able to show Dutch alarm texts after I assigned Dutch language as "Italian" for CPU display.

Compile hardware configuration and download it to the PLC. In case of problem with downloading read carefully what TIA compiler (tab Info > tab Compile) says. It might be that memory card in your PLC is to small to handle extra texts libraries for additional languages.
