Hi, only upgrading node-red and not nodeJS should work. When you upgrade node-red it gets installed in another path, so you can copy the existing mraa and intel nodes to this path (see here). The next image release will also have nodeJS 10 afaik. I don't know if it will be possible to upgrade node on that image and still be able to use mraa, but I am afraid that this is also not possible.
