Hello I was not able to have connection of Simulated HMI to simulated PLC in V 17 neither. What was strange I was able to connect this in one particular project, but when I have added this this project new HMI, the new added HMI was not possible to Connect in the simulation. I have compared all the setting of those HMI within this project and there was no differece in the setting. The only difference was that the first HMI was added when the project was still in V16 The I have checked the V16 and it was working, so gave up I have finally installed V18 where is this working as well. But when I have started the V18 the other day, there was no connection between HIM sim and PLC sim again. There appeared some alarm that then disapeared I supposed that this is just some status inromation when I have added alarm bufer in order to see what is coing wrong, the communication started to work again. I have done the same with V17, here the problem still persit, and I could see there is and alarm 140001 Conection disconected: HMI_connection_1 . So the connection was established for a short while becase in the IO fiels I could see the 0 but the the #### apeared. There is no detailed information about the root case showed, neither in the HMI alarm message nor in the Help system of TIA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi! I would check the following: - That the CPU and the HMI shouldn't be configured with a secure connection, they do not need certificates and the PLC is not password protected. - The antivirus should be disabled. - You should have installed the latest update of PLCSIM and STEP 7 and WinCC V17: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/bo/en/view/109784441 - Operating system compatibility with PLCSIM and STEP 7 software and WinCC V17: https://support.industry.siemens.com/compatool/#/main/start You could also try simulating the PLC with PLCSIM Advanced, to check if communication with the HMI is established in this way. Finally, I have attached a link to a FAQ and an application example in case they are useful to you: - Which settings are necessary to establish a connection between a simulated S7-1500 and a simulated WinCC Runtime Advanced or a simulated HMI operator panel?: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/88193789 - Testing and simulating HMI projects (TIA Portal) in conjunction with SIMATIC controllers, PLCSIM and PLCSIM Advanced: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109748099 |
