number of clients with redundant servers

andre76 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello!! I have a system like this: 2 redundant servers as operative units clients Monitor and operate the system. I do not create a separate project on the client. I start the server project using remote access How many clients can I have in the system? Best Regards.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi Andre, For WinCC you can have clients, web clients, thin clients... and you clients may have the configure remote option enabled or not... If only regular clients are used, you can have up to 32 clients accessing a single server. A client can access up to 12 servers. A maximum number of 24 servers can be configured then, as long as they're 12 redundant pairs. For a mixed configuration, you should run a calculation, considering their weights on the servers: WebClient / ThinClient = 1 Client = 2 Client with configure remote = 4 The overall sum can't exceed 60 per server, for servers with no operation functions... for servers which are used for operation, this number can't exceed 16. So... for instance, if you have 4 clients with configure remote, and 1 client without configure remote, this sum is: (4 x 4) + (1 x 2) = 18... this means your servers couldn't be used for operation in this case! And for normal client and client with remote configuration,it means if i not mix the type of client I can connect: 8 normal clients to 1 server or 4 clients with remote configuration to 1 server Do I understanding correctly?? Or you have any FAQ for me to refer more, I would please to know. Thank you Yai

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi Yai, The licenses for web navigator are for up to 3, 10, 25 or 50 simultaneous users. So the maximum number of simultaneous web users is 50. As I've said, it's the number of simultaneous accesses that counts. For normal clients, up to 32 clients can access the same server / redundant pair of servers, and each client can access up to 12 servers / redundant pairs. For clients with configure remote, the number is 16. Of course this number is decreased if you have thin clients or web clients. Best regards, Danielle
