Object angle/rotation animation Advanced/Comfort Panels

Hello,

I need to visualize angle rotation of an object (line/rectangle) in WinCC Advanced for an TP1200 Comfort Panel.

Unfortunately parameters such as "Angle" isn't supported for Advanced and/or Comfort Panels, and the parameter "Height" isn't writable for line objects which would have done the trick.

So as I see it the only solution to visualize angle rotation of a line would be to simply use a gauge, and make everything besides the needle itself transparent.

So now I wish to edit the looks of the needle in the standard gauge graphics, how is this possible?

Or if you have better ideas on how to visualize angle rotation of an object in WinCC Advanced please fill me in.

my advice would be to use the rotation tool.

It's an Excel Add-In that saves you a series of rotationg pictures with a discrete change of the angle between each picture. The background is transparent (.png). Connect the resulting graphics list to a symbolic I/O-field, assign a tag and it should work well.

You can have a look at the chapter "Clarity" > "Gauge Controls for Basic Panels". They work in the same way I described above.

Other Option:

You can edit the look of the elements of a default WinCC Advanced/Comfort gauge.

Just go to the properties and set every option where you can choose it to transparent, the fontsize to 1 and all dial elements in the layout section of the properties to 0 (besides the pointer hight of course). You will still be left with a triangular shape in a colour of your choice.
