I have two S7-216 PLC's communicating as master-slave over copper cabling.  I am having intermittent cable issues, have thought of wireless but have not had any success with communication and can't find any help with this method.  Is there an OLM module (current or obsolete) that could be used for fiber optic communication between the two PLC's?

Based on JBell's statements (and he was condidered one of the pillars of this community on networks) you could use the OLMs with S7-200 if you connect through MPI on a point-to-point  topology.

If you have remaining doubts, I would suggest that you start a Support Request, using the ;ink at the top of this page, which would connect you with a Siemens Tech.
