On off slave

Carfo Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	I want to disconnect some slave from the Profibus but I don't want all the time recabling the machine. There is some method with Step7? I have STEP 7 v 5.5 .

Hello, I think this can help you Enabling a disabled DP slave with SFC 12 "D_ACT_DP" - ID ... and How do you switch off (decouple) a slave without causing an error ... You will find the SFC12 in the Standard Library ----> System Function Blocks

Towome Platinum Expert Joined: 7/9/2015 Last visit: 9/28/2023 Posts: 3542 Rating: (516)	Hi, yes, use SFC12 but note if you deactivate it, you should have no access to your slave or you will get peripherals access error (OB122) or CPU stop. If CPU makes a warm / cold restart, deactivated slaves will be activated automatically. Regards, Towome
