One sided configuration

Dear experts

 Based on the attached configuration ,  every thing works properly except the the  DP/DP couplers where every 20 second interval time the  H CPUs generates ERROR ( EXTF  and BUS2F ) and stops communication with the DP/DP couplers   just for 20 seconds .

-Is the configuration wrong ?

-Is it possible to mix one sided and two sided configuration on the same subnet ?

-How to configure slave profibus for H system ( without Y link ) ?

Please advise .

As far as I know about H systems, your configuration should work. You have to write some code to handle the data received at both DP/DP couplers.

-Is it possible to mix one sided and two sided configuration on the same subnet ?

As far as I know, the answer is Yes.

The HW config. editor accepts it.

-How to configure slave profibus for H system ( without Y link ) ?

You can configure them as single sided IOs.

To have redundant access to DP slaves, you have to use Y-Link.

 The system works after resetting the CPU and doing fresh download . it seams to me the SYSTEM DATA BLOCK has corrupted .

By the way

I used two single sided DP/DP couplers  as redundant slave PROFIBUSS for S7-400H .

Through monitoring the status of both DP/DP couplers by using diagnostic SFC51  function

and based on SFC51  status with few codes the CPU read the DATA from the active DP/DP coupler .

The system has been installed and it is working properly as a slave redundnat PROFIBUS .
