Online adapter only shows "Teleservice"

KevinN Posts: 41 Rating: (3)	Not sure if you solved this, but I am using VMPlayer and I found that after I install the VMTools (which updates gfx, ethernet adapter etc.) then I only have the option of Teleservice in TIA Portal. I uninstalled it and reinstalled VMTools but unchecked the Ethernet adapter packages and now it works perfectly. Only downside I see is that the adapter in my VM is only 10Mbps instead of 1Gbps. Perhaps you have come right since SP2

I have installed Win 7 just because Telecontrol Server Basic required it. Windows XP runs perfect with all the Simatic softwares, but Step7 V11(on Win7) is not showing the correct interface "PN/IE." it just shows Teleservice GPRS and Teleservice.- I've tried everything I can think of: -Interface PC/PG from the Control Panel (all possibilities). -Reboot window. -Change regedit registers. -Repair Step 7. -Install drivers of network. -Change network configurations. -Mixed all the above steps. This is the first time I have this problem, so if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate.

Win7 is only supported if you get a copy of the trial DVD and install V11 SP2, then install the license once it is installed. The last I heard, nobody had a copy of the trial DVD, so anyone who manages to get Win7 to run the software is the exception rather than the rule. Good luck! Post your results.

On my first laptop I have installedWindows XP and Tia runs perfect with all the Simaticsoftwares (specifficaly Step 7 v11), I execute block, I can download/upload to/from device(S7-300CPU 315-2 PN/D), and especially I can work via "online" interface, but Step7 V11(on Win7 32bit on my second laptop) is not showing the correct interface "PN/IE." it just shows Teleservice. AndI need to find where is the bug,but I haven't any idea which settings, where and what I need to change for correctly running of Step7 on Win7 I've tried everything I can think of: -Interface PC/PG from the Control Panel (all possibilities). -Reboot window. --Repair Step 7. I am ready to install service pack 2, Do you think it could help? I am looking forward to your tips and advice

Since you previously had Portal working, maybe it would be worthwhile to use a prior system restore point and get back to a working state (of course, back up your system before you do this). From there, compare what you may have done along the way that suddenly resulted in lack of PN/IE available for up/download and online access. New software, new Microsoft updates, new drivers, new hardware?

The issue I am having is identical or very similar to the one described for many members here,I only get the TeleServiceoption thus I cannot go online with the PLC.S7 1200 V11 SP2 I have been reading all of the threads referring to this same or similar issue and I see a few members talking about their issue being solved, but all of them talk about VIRTUAL MACHINE and WINDOWS XP ... so that makes me think that STEP 7 WILL NOT RUN ON WINDOWS 7 32bit. Is this a correct asumption? I will greatly appreciate a straight answer to my question. Many thanks!

What version of the portal in on the media you are using for the install? There are readme documents with the install and FAQs talking about things to watch out for with portal installations. If you already read and followed their instructions, it may be time to issue a Support Requestto get your installation working properly.
