Varzu Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Hi folks, I'm using WinCC 6.2 SP2 I havesome temperature bars showing a temperature profile of a machine and also on the same screen I have a trend display of the temperatures. I want the bars to show 1. Actual temperature values,when the start update button of the trend control is pushed. 2. Archived temperature values at the time where the ruler is located, when the ruler is selected. Yes the same values which are already in the table right under the trend display. I'll appreciate if you could give me some examples how to do this. TIA V

Varzu Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Hi Fatso, I went through the whole online help, but I didn't find any help for me. TlgGetRulerTimeTrend function returns a time value, where the ruler is. But how can Ilink the bar graphs to the acrhived data?

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	How about TlgGetRulerValueTrend? Function Provides the value of the trend with the nTrend number in the trend window at the ruler position. This should give you the value you were looking for.

Varzu Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Yes, TlgGetRulerValueTrend-function is what I was looking for. I just was too blind to see it. But now to the tough part. The syntax of the function is double TlgGetRulerValueTrend(char* lpszTemplate, int nTrend) where lpszTemplate is a pointer to the window title of the WinCC Online Trend Control. So what is my input to the parameter lpszTemplate? And then the function returns a value of the trend with the nTrend number in the trend window at the ruler position. What do I really get asa return value?

[code] //define variable doubleRulerValue; //Get the ruler value RulerValue= TlgGetRulerValueTrend("TrendControl_01",0); //Now you can copy value in RulerValue to where you want to display. [/code] Parameters of the TlgGetRulerValueTrend function: "TrendControl_01" is the name of the WinCC Trend Control. "0" is the number of the trend. (First visible trend). By changing this you can get the value of other trends in the same trend window. Try this and let me know.

Varzu Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Thanks JMJ I got it working. My problem was, that I was using the ObjectName, instead of the Window Title. The Window Title could also be foundin Object Properties under Control Proterties / Caption. After changing the name to the script I got it working. One thing that I'm missing is the information,when theruler is off or on. If the ruler is off, the function returns the latest value when the ruler was on. Best Regards Varzu

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	I think it can be fixed with little bit of innovation. But may not be as elegant. Hide the ruler button and use and external button with TlgTrendWindowPressLinealButton. In this button, you can also add a script to write the status to an internal tag. Do not forget to clear that status tagwhen the picture is opened.
