Hello vandborg; Here is a link to the OP27 operator panel manual: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1142800 If you are using IF1B (S-485 port, PPI/MPI interface), check whether the Dip-switch settings (bottom of the unit, near the interface connectors) have been changed; see chapter 13 of the manual. There are no system messages appearing on the unit? A loss of communication with the PLC would generate some kind of siagnostics usually; the message would help to point out the problem. Unfortunately, you need Protool to connect to the OP27, and you need the original program on your PC, if you want to do changes to the configuration or the OP program. There is a utility called ProSave that will allow you to upload the compiled program but there is no way you can open it. Yoou must downloadthe programto a similar panel (save and restore utility). Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
