Hello you could only get access to Optimized Block access Data Blocks with using Simatic Net OPC Server V12 or newer and only with OPC UA. I do not know any solution with OPCDA. See the attached Link for your Help: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109474300 Bye Murof |

Hi Murof, how could I get access to an optimized data block using OPC UA? I haven't found any document with references to this possibility, and with the OPC Scout I'm able to see only the non-optimized blocks.
Thank you.

Hello Here a basic FAQ to your Question: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/67295801 there is also a Manual for OPC UA. -> A little addition to my last post in this Topic. you can of course also have access to Optimized Blocks with OPC DA but you need a OPC Server that has a Communication channel for the new S7 PLCs with Optimized Block access. -> For example -> S71500 <->WinCC Advanced Runtime - OPC DA Server <-OPC Da Client Bye Murof |
