what is its use?? when we use it?? wincc should use or plc??what is the difference between opc server  and opc scout??

(does it have any manual??)

There Questions are a bit general but i Try.

OPC is a communication specification which works over Ethernet an works always as a server/client system.

So the Simatic Net OPC Server (or any ther OPC Server like WinCC OPC Server, OPC Server on Comfort Panels and so on) offers Tag information (for example Tags from S7 DBs or global tags) and the Clients connect to the server and requests the information they need. A Client could everything be that has a OPC client function like the OPC Scout or WinCC has an OPC Client Channel or something else.

OPC is a global specification which is not limited to one Producer like Siemens. So its an open Communication Standard in Automation industry.

so the OPC Server can only offer his own informations. So a Simatic Net OPC Server can connect to a S7 PLC and share the DB Infos to all OPC Cleints. Or a HMI WinCC OPC Server can share the HMI Tags to the OPC Cleints that are connected to Server.

Yes if you use LOGO to communicate to a WinCC scada Station you have to use a OPC Connection.

You need a Simatic Net OPC Server to connect to the logo and use the OPC Client Channel of WinCC to get access.

Its quite the same  as with S7200.

I have searched a little bit an you can also use the S7-200 PC Access OPC Server to connect to a LOGO.

But its quite an old software (compatibility to Win 7 ??) and you can run only OPC DA not UA
