OPC UA Client with PLC UDT tags

JobKaptein Joined: 2/3/2023 Last visit: 12/7/2023 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello everybody, I have a 1500 PLC and a unified panel. I have set up an opc ua connection between them, with the PLC as server. This all works, I also checked with UaExpert. I'm working in V18. But I can't seem to be able to add a tag with a PLC UDT type. Is this a limitation of the unified panel? or do I need different server settings? I can't find any information of supported data types of a unified panel as opc ua client. If anyone knows more about this topic it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

There you will find the following information: All simple data types available on the connected PLC are available at an external tag in WinCC. … Interconnected PLC data types and arrays are not supported. Only the S7-1500 communication channel supports user defined data types. Kind regards Stefan
