Prats Posts: 272 Rating: (4)	Dear All, Can we communicate CPU 315 PN with mitsubishi controller over TCP/IP? I know we can have TCP/IP communication within siemens cpu's but is it possible with 3rd parties also ?

How do you program the communication blocks FB63 "TSEND", FB64 "TRCV", FB65 "TCON" and FB66 "TDISCON" in order to use the TCP protocol for data exchange by means of the integrated PROFINET interface of an S7-300 or S7-400 CPU? How do you program the communication blocks FB63 "TSEND", FB64 "TRECV", FB65 "TCON" and FB66 "TDISCON" in order to use the ISO-on-TCP protocol for data exchange by way of the integrated PROFINET interface of a CPU or by way of the CP443-1 Advanced?

gre_m Posts: 947 Rating: (45)	as i understand, for ag_send/ ag_rcv need CP. Is right? i advise "open communication wizard". you can find it on CD2 with step7 5.4 sp5. This wizard help you for generate blocks for open communication such TCP, UDP. see also charter in "STEP 7 - System and Standard Functions for S7-300 and S7-400".

Regards I saw some different brand plc connecting with AG_SEND and AG_RECEIVE, but they needed a function block that supported such comm, the block was written for this prupose. You can't simply connect two plcs with ethernet cable and things working. As far I know Mitsubishi doesn't have such function block to be compactible with AG_SEND and AG_RECEIVE, more than that Mitsubishi uses only its propietary protocol and you can't connect other things than Mitsubishi plc or OPC server. But maybe I am wrong?
