hello guys,

as i understood without a GSD its nearly impossible to connect to a device. But if that device has a open TCP PN you can connect to it. 

I found the old open communication wizard but that is for v5 of s7, and i'm using TIA and don't have any old projects to run that wizard through. 

in the new TIA (well version 13) is there many ways to connect to other devices without GSD, if so can you point me in the right direction please?

for Open User Communication you can use the instructions T_CON, TSEND, TSEND_C and so on.

You can communicate to other Devices via TCP/IP, UDP, ISO-on-TCP.

 ah i think i may of confused my self here,

That program i referred to opens projects in older versions of step 7 to test and setup connections.

I was wondering in tia if there was a similar program. but i think in the actual block there is a test connection setting so this may tia only has.

sry, that wizard is not problem, I ask simply what kind of device you want connect to PLC and via which interface and protocol. That device is capable with what protocols? This is what I ask.
