Opening a picture in Runtime gives an error?

Jaapie Gold Member Joined: 1/17/2006 Last visit: 10/27/2023 Posts: 799 Rating: (63)	Hi, We have the following problem with a project: We have a simple configuration with a server (V6.0 SP2) and a Multi-client (V6.0 SP2). This configuration is tested in our office and everything was error free. Then we placed it on site, changed the IP-adresses of both the server and the client and placed both machines in a LAN (with only 2 switches). The server is working ok, but the client could not find the startpicture (the startpicture is located on the server). So we selected again the startpicture, but we get an error 'Error while opening the picture'. Opening the same picture in graphic designer is going ok. Copying the picture to the client and configure it as the startpicture is also ok, but that is not what we want. In Windows explorer we can see the server, the network and the CC-agent is also ok. I could be wrong but can the startpicture on a client be located on a server? On friday I will go to site again. I will keep you informed. Jaap[:D]

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Jaap, Are you also using server packages in your setup? I usually notice that deleting and re-creating the server packages helps a lot. Probably you are now in a different domain then you were in the office. Maybe (if you did not do this already), you should double check your configuration in wincc. Also deleting the .dcf file in the root folder of your project (when the project in closed) could help out. I know that this is not thé answer, but maybe you have a starting point with this. with regards, ikkezelf
