I have tested disable keyboard commands checkbox (Runtime Settings ->  Keyboard -> Keyboard commands of the operating system), please refer to my attached picture.

I am using TIA Portal Prefessional V17. The plant network architecture consists of one Engineering Station running WinCCC V17 + Step 7 V17 and one Operating Station running WinCC Professional RT V17.

I don´t want the operator to access operating system while run-time is running, for that reason I disabled keyboard commands of the operating system by selecting the above mentioned checkbox.

The problem comes when I download the project from the ES to the OS, this feature of disabled keyboard commands is not working.

However, if I test the program inside the ES by simulating (Ctrl+Shift+X) or if I just download the WinCC project to the file system inside the ES this feature is working ok.

I don´t understand why if it is working inside the ES, the same project does not work likewise when downloaded to the physical OS.

Any tips will be highly appreciated.

The case is a bit strange. Have you tried updating to the latest software version available (U6)? On many occasions, they tend to be corrected.

At the beginning, I had different update versions: TIA Portal V17 Update 6 in Engineering Station and TIA Portal RT V17 (no updates) in Operator Station, Now both stations have Update 6 and the problem still continues.

Finally I found where the problem was.

I was using Synergy software to share several screens connceted to OS and ES so that with only one mousse and one keyboard connected to de ES I can manage also the keyboard and mousse of the OS.

But if I use just the keyboard/mousse directly connected to the OS everything wroks ok.
