Operations with Data Block

joaofaro Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hello all. I want to make an average of N values. These values are read through the Modbus RTU and placed in a data block. At each iteration the values obtained are added to the previous. After N iterations mean is calculated. However I am having trouble performing mathematical operations on the values of the data block. Can you help me? I know it's a question a little basic but I'm really at the beginning. I have attached a printscreen of the operation I'm trying to do. Attachment print01.jpg (307 Downloads)

I have attached a printscreen of the operation I'm trying to do. In the add block where those ???'s show up, click there and select the datatype for your output. If your inputs to the add block are of compatible data types, the block should compile just fine. You will also want to compile your DB to make your block "look right" in the editor.

The supported Data Types in IN1, IN2 are SInt, Int, DInt, USInt, UInt, UDInt, Real, LReal, Constant Where as in OUT the supported data types are SInt, Int, DInt, USInt, UInt, UDInt, Real, LReal
