Hi,

you can configure the time synchronization using NTP protocol (Device configuration -> Ethernet Port ->time synchronization). Up can select up 4 time servers.

 I got Meinberg as NTP server, and it is in same network as My S71200 PLC.

I went (Device configuration -> Ethernet Port ->time synchronization) and entered Meinberg IP address but once I go online my PLC keeps sinchronizing to my PG-PC interface which means to my PC.

There is option "disable" PG-PC synchronization but it keeps returning to be enabled.

Can anyone help regarding this issue?

Someone else had this same issue and posted about it in these forums.  You should search for the solution.  I would tell you if I remembered :)

I searched in communication Tab, thats how I got to this thread otherwise I would make new one.

Anyway Thx for positive spirit, I mean I kinda got a feeling solution is somewhere on the forum.

I 'm somehow sure that one tiny selected or non-selected check mark in hardware configuration is making me this "issue".

I got s7-300 and there is no this problem, but I set up s7300 in simatic manager, I kinda like Simatic Manager more, it runs more quicker , smooth and idk it is awesome, I got no like this weird issues in Simatic Manager

If there are updates available for your Portal install, please install them.  I believe that was what fixed it.  Maybe it was a service pack update, maybe it was just the latest update.

Regardless, you must be offline to successfully modify any hardware configuration.

It might have been some combination of the right PLC part #, firmware revision, Portal version and update.  If there are firmware updates available and supported by your portal revision, I would suggest updating the plc firmware as well.  You will need to tell portal you are using a different FW revision in the HW config.  Right click on the PLC and update the device to find newer firmware supported by the software you are using.

This issue is still present on new firmware.

In my case:

- CPU 1512SP-1 PN firmware V2.8 in the project, running on a device with firmware V 2.9.2.

- CP 1542SP-1 firmware V2.1 in the project, running on a device with firmware V2.1.3.

Not a minor problem when working on systems which are using NTP synchronization...

I do not really remember how or am I at all resolved this over hardware configuration settings,

but for sure you can do it in program by calling some of the time FBs. Try to install The "LSNTP" library

although there is FB just for NTP server, no NTP client. NTP client should have been done by Hardware configuration settings also covered into given link datasheets.
